BaladiDog Games LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the mobile game Blade's Burden (the "Game"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you play, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account and playing the Game, you agree to the practices described here.

1.Information We Collect

Blade's Burden is designed to collect the minimum information necessary to run an online, multi-world RPG. We collect:

What we do NOT collect: We do not collect your real name, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, health data, or browsing history outside the Game. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking pixels. The Game does not serve ads.

3.How Your Data Is Stored

Account and gameplay data is stored on Supabase, our backend-as-a-service provider, which hosts our PostgreSQL database, authentication service, and realtime layer. Supabase processes data on our behalf as a sub-processor. Access to the database is restricted by row-level security policies so that, in most cases, a player can only read and write their own records, their guild's records, and public world data (like leaderboards).

Chat messages sent in world or guild channels are visible to other players in that world or guild and are automatically deleted from our servers after seven (7) days. Please treat chat as public.

4.Who Can See Your Information

Other players in Blade's Burden can see your in-game username, character level, cosmetic choices (portrait, frame, banner, chat badge), guild membership, arena rank, leaderboard standing, and any chat messages or guild content you post. Your email address and sign-in provider ID are never shown to other players.

5.Chat, User Content & Safety

Blade's Burden includes real-time chat (world and guild channels), guild profiles, and player-chosen names (usernames, guild names, guild descriptions). These are "User-Generated Content" or "UGC".

Content standards. You may not post, and we do not tolerate, content that is illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, threatening, harassing, promotes self-harm, impersonates another person, or advertises real-money trading of accounts or Virtual Items. Moderation & reporting. We use automated filtering on prohibited terms and we review reports submitted by players. You can:

We aim to review reports of objectionable content within 24 hours and may, at our discretion, remove content, mute, suspend, or permanently ban the offending account without refund. We reserve the right to take action on any UGC that violates these standards or applicable law.

License to UGC. When you submit a username, guild name, guild description, or chat message, you grant BaladiDog Games LLC a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, reproduce, and moderate that content for the purpose of operating the Game. You retain whatever underlying rights you had in the content itself.

Your safety. Chat is visible to other players and is not private. Please do not share real names, home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, payment information, passwords, precise location, or other personal information in chat or any UGC field. BaladiDog staff will never ask for your password or payment details in chat.

6.Third Parties We Use

We do not integrate analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, advertising networks, or social-media trackers.

7.In-App Purchases & Payments

Blade's Burden may offer optional in-app purchases of premium currency (for example, soul shards) and similar Virtual Items. All payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. BaladiDog Games LLC never receives or stores your credit-card number, bank account details, or billing address.

The store sends us only a transaction receipt — a transaction ID, product identifier, and purchase timestamp — so we can credit the correct Virtual Items to the correct character. We retain this receipt data for bookkeeping, tax compliance, and fraud prevention.

8.Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live (e.g., California / CCPA, EU / UK / GDPR), you may have additional rights such as the right to object, to restrict processing, or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.

9.Children's Privacy

Blade's Burden is rated for a teen-and-older audience (dark fantasy themes, stylized violence) and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us at baladidoggames@gmail.com and we will delete the account and its data.

10.Data Retention

We retain account and gameplay data for as long as your account remains active. When you delete your account or a character, the associated data is removed from our live database promptly. Some information may persist in short-term, encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being overwritten. Chat messages are separately auto-deleted after 7 days regardless of account status.

11.Security

We rely on modern authentication flows (OAuth 2.0 via Apple and Google), encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS) for all network traffic, and Supabase's row-level-security policies to protect your data. No online service is perfectly secure; if we ever become aware of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

12.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Game evolves. Any material change will be reflected by a new "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, announced in-game. Continued use of the Game after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
